Suffrage leader’s scrapbook tops Library Jewels poll

The results are in, and the top vote-getter in our January State Library Jewels online poll is the suffrage leader’s scrapbook that includes memorabilia covering 1908 to 1938. The scrapbook, owned by suffrage activist Clara Watson Elsom, received 52 percent of the votes. The 1924 Washington road map finished second with 33 percent, followed by the 1912 list of Washington motor vehicle owners (15 percent). Ready for more interesting and cool historical items? State Library Jewel #3: suffrage leader’s scrapbook

Early this week, we began our “State Library Jewels” blog series to show off some of the many interesting items and collections found in the State Library.
