Over the decades, Washington’s Capitol has seen its share of protests and demonstrations. Several times each year, groups gather on the steps of the Legislative Building to exercise their rights and let others know how they feel. Like a big hurricane bearing down on the coast, Monday’s demonstrations didn’t strike the Capitol Campus right away. But as the morning rolled on, wave after wave of protesters hit the campus and began chanting and waving signs.
