Batman star Adam West’s connection to Washington State Archives

Like many “Batman” fans, we were saddened to hear of last week’s passing of Adam West. West, who played Batman on the 1960s TV series, died in Los Angeles on June 9 following a brief battle with leukemia. He was 88. College civics tour: Whitman College

Secretary Reed is still traversing the state on his annual college civics tour to talk with students about the importance of voting and being involved with their community. While in Walla Walla Thursday, he did an interview at Whitman College’s radio station, KWCW, with student Zach Duffy (right) and Whitman College President George Bridges. Reed’s other stops that day included Columbia Basin College, Walla Walla Community College and Walla Walla University.
