Hey, Electronic Records Day is here

OK, it might not be as widely known as Columbus Day, but there is another occasion this week worth noting, especially for those of you maintain or are interested in electronic records.

October 10 has been designated Electronic Records Day by the Council of State Archivists.

There are no electronic fireworks being set off or electronic music being played (where’s Gary Numan or Thomas Dolby when you need him?) in honor of the occasion, but CoSA is offering many handy tips for people managing personal digital collections, plus e-records tips specifically geared toward government archives.
