Congrats, Corps for Communities winners!
Giving back was the hot topic in Secretary Reed’s office Wednesday afternoon, as standout Washington corporations were applauded for their efforts in making a difference in the state.
Redmond housing firm Aboda (pictured above, on left)and Pullman-based Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (at right) were selected from a statewide pool of nominees as spring 2010 award winners of Reed’s Corporations for Communities program, which honors exceptional Washington businesses that make community a priority.
Reed awarded the companies National Secretaries of State Medallions, the state’s highest civics award, at the reception, and recognized eight corporations who made the “honor roll.”
