2010 Archives Month poster now available!
If you’re into state history or just like cool posters, you’ll want to get your hands on the new and free 2010 Washington Archives Month poster.
Every October, our State Archives co-sponsors Washington Archives Month. This year’s theme is “Hard Times: Struggles, Setbacks, and Recovery in Washington.”
If you go to the Archives Month website, you can download the new poster. Among other things, the website features links to free workshops, FAQs, collections of interest and featured photographs.
If you’re interested in getting a printed copy of the new poster, or if you want more info about Archives Month, contact Benjamin Helle at (360) 586-7320 or [email protected] . You can also get a free printed poster by visiting:
• the State Archives office at 1129 Washington St. SE in Olympia;
• the Office of Secretary of State, located in the northwest corner of the second floor of the Legislative Building in Olympia; or
• one of the State Archives’ regional branches in Bellevue, Bellingham, Cheney or Ellensburg.
UPDATE: Due to the overwhelming number of requests, especially from people out of state, for a printed copy of the new Archives Month poster, we are not shipping the posters until further notice.
Go here for more info about State Archives and its branches, plus its award-winning Digital Archives in Cheney.

Hi Brenda – Unfortunately, our office’s budget has taken such a beating this year that we can’t afford to send out the Archives Month posters for free. I’m really sorry about that. – Brian
