Know a corporation or small business here in Washington that really gives back to the community? Here’s your chance to help it receive some well-earned recognition.

The Office of Secretary of State is taking nominations for a Corporations for Communities Fall Award.

October 15 is the deadline for people to submit nominations of their favorite community-based businesses. Nomination forms are here.

Anyone can nominate a business for this honor. In fact, you can nominate more than one business for the award if you wish. Just make sure to send in your nominations by October 15. Winners of this fall’s awards will be announced in November.

Twice a year, Secretary Reed picks one large and one small corporation from among the public nominations to receive a National Association of Secretaries of State Medallion, which is the highest civics honor awarded by the state.
