Grays Harbor County is named after the shallow bay created by the five rivers that pour into it from Southwest Washington. Its forests full of spruce, hemlock, cedar, and Douglas fir have attracted loggers and mill operators for decades in search of “green gold”, allowing the towns within it to flourish. The beautiful Grays Harbor County Courthouse is one of the oldest buildings in the city!
