From Your Corner of Washington: Narada Falls
Many visitors to Mount Rainier National Park who travel from Longmire to Paradise don’t bother to stop for a moment to see Narada Falls. Too bad for them.
This scenic waterfall is where the Paradise River plunges 188 feet, sending up a cool spray that is a welcome treat on those rare hot summer days inside the park.
Hikers leaving Longmire can make a nearly 9-mile round trip to Narada Falls and back, crossing bridges over the Nisqually River at Cougar Rock and over the Paradise River before the trail goes uphill toward the waterfall.

Could someone from the SoS please post a status update on the R-71 litigation? When is a ruling on the motion for summary judgment expected and, if the motion is denied, when will the trial begin?
Also, does the SoS intend to keep the litigation page up to date with court filings?
There has not been a ruling on the motion for summary judgment. I was told by one of our state Elections Division officials that the court trial is set to start on Sept. 27. Yes, we plan to continue updating our R-71 litigation page with court filings. The R-71 litigation page is here: http://wei.secstate.wa.gov/osos/en/initiativesReferenda/Pages/R-71Information.aspx . Hope this helps. – Brian Zylstra
