See Reed’s Comcast Newsmakers interview
Our faithful blog followers recall a post we did a few weeks ago on Secretary Reed being interviewed by Comcast Newsmakers in the Governor’s Mansion, along with many other public officials. The Comcast interviews were conducted by Sabrina Register and Steve Mumm (above). Comcast has started airing these interviews on CNN Headline News.
Here is a five-minute interview that the Secretary did with Mumm, Comcast Newsmakers’ Eastern Washington host. The video is on YouTube. Reed talks with Mumm about civility, bipartisan cooperation, elections and other issues. He says people are “thirsty for elected officials who are going to focus on the public good,” and says when it comes to making decisions that are sometimes controversial or difficult, “I answer to the people.”
Reed announced this summer that he won’t run again when his term as Secretary of State expires in January 2013.
