Statehood telegram tops Archives treasures poll

(Image courtesy of Washington State Archives) Whenever we launch our monthly Archives treasures online poll, it’s usually clear right away which of the three entries will win. This month’s poll saw a back-and-forth affair between the 1889 statehood telegram and the 1919 Centralia Massacre documents. The statehood telegram won in the end, taking 47 percent of the votes, while the Centralia Massacre docs collected 40 percent.
