Dayton residents cast their ballots for library service!

Good news for Dayton, Washington, and Columbia County. Residents of Dayton voted yesterday to annex into the Columbia County Rural Library District (CCRLD). This is a win-win for both the city and the library district. Voters approved the annexation by 74%. Trustee Chair, Tanya Patton, reports relief and joy after 4 years of work on this issue. Walking to keep the Castle Rock Library open

Several staffers from the Washington State Library and Office of Secretary of State were among the 400 people who took part in Saturday’s “I Topped the Rock To Save the Library” 5K fun run/walk event in Castle Rock Saturday morning to help raise money for that town’s library.
