  (Photo courtesy Washington State Archives) The Tenino Oregon Trail marker photo is the latest first-round winner in our Archives Treasures tourney. The marker photo received 61 percent of the votes, while the Greenwood Ark photos gathered 39 percent. Game 6 starts this afternoon. It matches up the first Washington territorial prison against the boxing legends applications.

We’re now on Game 5 of our Archives Treasures tourney, better known as November Nuttiness. Today’s matchup is between a 1906 photo of the Oregon Trail marker in Tenino and a collection of photos of the  Greenwood Ark, which sat in Olympia’s West Bay for years and was a local institution.
