What goes up, must come down.  That applies to Christmas trees and holiday trees as well as old Blood, Sweat & Tears songs.  After being perched up high in the Legislative Building’s Rotunda these past few weeks, the Holiday Tree is no more. Workers from the Department of Enterprise Services spent part of the morning removing decorations from the 24-foot Noble fir before taking down the Tannenbaum itself.

During its brief stay inside the Lege Building, this year’s Holiday Tree experienced so much, including a special session, protests and, of course, a tree-lighting ceremony.

Goodbye, Holiday Tree. It was nice having you around.
