Trademarks top May’s “Archives treasures” poll

After several days of voting, the results are in. The winner of the May “Archives treasures” online poll is the collection of old trademarks of goods and products made and sold in Washington.

The classic trademarks received 44 percent of the vote, defeating two other items found in the State Archives, the 1878 version of the Washington Constitution (33 percent) and the collection of documents related to the Japanese internment during World War II (23 percent).

Later this month we’ll shift the focus onto the State Library by running our May series of blog posts on “State Library jewels” and then launching an online poll.
