Everett Public Library’s historic mural gets a makeover (The Herald, Everett, 12/16/15)

LVCU donates $10,000 to Sunnyside Community Library
Lower Valley Credit Union presented the Sunnyside Community Library with a donation in the amount of $10,000 on December 8, 2015. The donated funds updated the library’s two technology work rooms which are available to students and the public alike. The donation also funded a hand painted mural displayed in the children’s section of the updated library, and contributed to purchasing various pieces of furniture that were placed throughout the building. Cub Scouts start little library
Members of Cub Scout Pack 60/20 Webelos 2 den recently completed their Little Library project. Alex Austin, Caleb Craddock, Malik Martinez, and Walter Tonasket began the project this fall with the assistance and advice of Eagle Scout Steven Nicholson and den leader Alicia Tonasket. In addition to planning the library structure itself, the boys planned where to place it. They prepared a brief presentation and delivered it to the Omak City Council, which gave the boys permission to place the Little Library in front of the Visitor Information Center in East Side Park.
