1) MONTH OF THE MILITARY FAMILY

There are currently more than 2.2 million service members in our Armed Forces. They and their families are in your communities, schools, and neighborhoods. The Washington State Library has developed a list of resources that can be used in acknowledging and thanking Washington military children and their families. Take time to recognize the Month of the Military Family this November by visiting www.sos.wa.gov/quicklinks/MilitaryFamily, where you will find resources, toolkits, and downloadable fliers for both schools and libraries.

For more information, contact Martha Shinners at [email protected].

Register now to take advantage of this great opportunity.

The award recognizes the leadership and initiative required to build collaborative networks designed to achieve specific preservation goals. Any person or group is eligible for the award, but self-nominations will not be accepted; membership in ALA is not required.
