As the popularity of comics becomes more widespread, librarians are in a unique position to build comic collections that engage readers while starring protagonists of different perspectives and backgrounds. In this session Ivy Noelle Weir, a programming and young adult services librarian from Philadelphia, will cover how librarians can build diverse graphic novel collections, stay on top of trends, and incorporate diverse graphic novels into library programs to stimulate exciting and educational discussions.
